CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT
The doctor of chiropractic is a specialist in spinal musculoskeletal disorders. He or she is expertly trained to diagnose and treat the many musculoskeletal injuries that may occur on the job in your daily life, or by someone else's fault.
Upon injury, the individual often alters the normal position or flexibility of the spinal vertebrae.
Chiropractic treatment is designed to restore normal alignment and thus minimize pain and suffering. Gentle manipulative therapy or “adjustment” is often effective in rapidly returning the injured person to a productive status. The doctor of chiropractic can also provide guidance with advice designed to reduce work-related injuries, proper lifting procedures and therapeutic stretching exercises.

Diversified Adjustments
At Cooper Chiropractic, we use a variety of adjusting techniques depending on the needs of each patient. No person is exactly the same as another, so we will carefully determine which technique will provide the best results for that individual.
Many patients are adjusted with a technique commonly referred to as “Diversified" that involves manual adjustments by hand. are used to deliver an adjustment that is a short, rapid thrust in a specific direction and strength to restore proper motion to that segment. When limited motion or misalignment of one or more spinal bones is identified, a specific manual thrust using different parts of the Doctor's hand is delivered. The direction, speed, and depth that are used is the result of experience, practice and a thorough understanding of spinal mechanics. The energy delivered during the thrust may produce a slight “popping” sound from shifting gas and fluids in the joint.
Another technique involves a special table that moves approximately one inch and works well when we wish to avoid rotation of the spine when adjusting. This is sometimes called a "drop table" technique.
We also utilize an adjusting instrument technique when we wish to restore motion with less force. This works exceptionally well for acute injuries and patients with concerns such as osteoporosis among others.

Healing Cold Laser Therapy:
The Erchonia 3LT™ is the first laser approved to receive FDA clearance for use in reducing pain. By contrast to the high-power, high-heat lasers that are used in various surgical procedures, Erchonia lasers produce a low-level, or cold, output that has no thermal effect on the body’s tissue. Instead, the laser serves to stimulate biological function positively. Low-level laser therapy is commonly used to treat conditions such as acute and chronic pain without negative side effects. It is appropriate for almost any patient.
